It is every Childs dream to one day is the most popular, the most athletic and the most successful. It comes as no surprise really given the time that we live in. In his book “The Tallest of Smalls” Max Lucado take on these struggles in a refreshing account of Ollie. Ollie has big dreams but once realized he sees that status is not everything it is cracked up to be. But rather that being what Jesus wants you to be should be the goal. My children love this book and I am sure that it will become a household favorite. Basic principles of treating people well whoever they are and be all you can be are found here presented in a fun way. My son could easily tell me the basic principles after the first time we read it together. “The Tallest of Smalls” is a simple story that provides a starting point for any family that want to have a conversation on how to treat others with their kids. In the end Jesus is the answer and Ollie came to realize treating others better has nothing to do with status, but rather the way we want to be treated.
